User Account Requirements
CN - Child Nutrition
- Software Requirements: You can use any computer with web-based access.
However, CNMS requires Internet Explorer 5.5 or better browser.
- User Account Requirements:
- To obtain a user name and password, you will need to
submit a Child Nutrition Management System SFA Application. Click on
SFA
application for a printable copy of the form.
- Each SFA can be assigned one primary user. That individual can then go
on-line and establish additional SFA users, management company users or SFA
Viewers. SFA users can update program information and prepare and submit
claims on-line. Management company users can view program information and
prepare claims on-line, which can then be submitted on-line by an SFA user.
SFA Viewers can only view information. They do not have update privileges.
- When your application has been processed, you will receive an e-mail
that will include your user name and password. Both your user name and
password are case sensitive. Once you log on, you can change your password.
GED - General Educational Development
- Software Requirements: This site requires Internet Explorer 5.0 or
above.
- User Account Requirements: The User Accounts are requested from the
GED office. At this time only internal GED staff have user accounts.
IHRS - Impartial Hearing Reporting
System
- Software Requirements: This site has been designed and tested with
the following Internet Browser versions:
- Internet Explorer, version 5.x or higher
- Netscape Navigator, version 4.5 or higher
- User Account Requirements:
- Every school district has been requested to designate at least two users
of the system. These individuals may include but are not limited to the
district clerk, superintendent, CSE chair, counsel for the district and
support staff. These personnel are typically most familiar with the
impartial hearing process and have the most access to hearing information.
Personnel authorized by their school district may secure a confidential
password by contacting the Special Education Policy Administration Unit at
518-473-0170 or e-mailing the request to
vesidih@mail.nysed.gov. The request must include:
- individual’s name
- district name
- mailing address
- birth city or high school of user (for password verification purposes)
- e-mail address
- phone number
- Specifics of usernames and passwords: District personnel and IHO
usernames are in firstname.lastname format. Usernames may be entered in
either upper or lower case. A six digit number and letter combination
password will be assigned to you when you contact VESID. Passwords are case
sensitive (letters need to be in upper case).
IMF - Institutional Master File
- Software Requirements: This site requires Internet Explorer 5.0 or
above and version 6.0 for printing with page breaks.
- User Account Requirements: User accounts are
requested through the IRS (Information Reporting Services) office.

- Software Requirements: This site requires Netscape 4.0 or above /
Internet Explorer 4.0 or above. This site is best viewed with Internet
Explorer 5.0 or above. This site requires the use of Cookies and JavaScript.

Please provide your name, title, name of school district or approved private
school, phone number and e-mail address to request this information.
- If you would like to send the PD-1/4 report by using the File Transfer
Protocol (FTP) process, you need a different user id and password. Click on
the link below for a form that must be used to request this information.
