The SEDREF application is a web-based system that represents the authoritative source for institutions conducting business with the New York State Education Department.

BEDS - Basic Educational Data System

The (IMF) application is a web-based system that allows authorized school district personnel to submit their yearly BEDS District Summary and School Data Forms to the Department and review previous year submissions.

CN - Child Nutrition

The Child Nutrition Management System (CNMS) is a web-based system for the management of the Lunch, Snack, Breakfast, Milk and Summer Food Service programs. It features on-line submittal of claims for reimbursement and annual renewal information. School Food Authorities (SFAs) can access claim and payment history, program policy and procedural memoranda and various reports.

The General Educational Development (GED) application is a web-based system for the management of the High School Equivalency Diploma program.

IHRS - Impartial Hearing Reporting System

The Impartial Hearing Reporting System (IHRS) application is a web-based data collection system designed to record information about the impartial hearing process. The IHRS is maintained by VESID. An impartial hearing is a formal method to resolve disputes between parents and school districts regarding the identification, evaluation, educational placement or the provision of a free appropriate public education for a student with a disability.

LTSE - Long Term Sheltered Employment

The Long Term Sheltered Employment (LTSE) application is a web-based system that provides agencies with LTSE programs the capability of submitting their rosters electronically. These rosters inform VESID of the date the agency’s staff completed an annual evaluation for each consumer in their program and are used to determine whether LTSE remains the most appropriate service for the individual.

The Pupils with Disabilities (PD) application is a web-based system that is available for public school districts to initially submit their data, revise contact information and view their data electronically.

The Rate Setting Unit (RSU) application is a web-enabled system that allows counties and providers of programs for students with disabilities to enter financial data and retrieve approved rates for services.

STAC - System to Track and Account for Children

The System to Track and Account for Children application (STAC) is a web-enabled system that is available for public school districts to enter information related programs and services provided to students with disabilities.

State Aid

The State Aid application is a web-based system that provides public school district and BOCES representatives the ability to submit data via the Internet, download current software and receive the latest instructions pertaining to required data collection.

TEACH

TEACH is an online application and database system that enables:

Applicants for Certification and Fingerprint Clearance to apply online for certification or fingerprint clearance, and check the status of applications and fingerprint clearance; Public Schools to obtain application status updates on current or potential employees and submit requests for fingerprint clearance for prospective employees; New York State Colleges/Universities to submit recommendations for certification program completers online and track the certification status of students.
