Purpose |
The overarching purpose of this request for proposals (RFP) is to encourage and support eligible districts to develop, implement and/or enhance a comprehensive systems approach to recruitment, development, retention and equitable distribution of effective teachers and school leaders as part of their implementation of the Annual Professional Performance Review (APPR) system required by Education Law §3012-c. | |||
Eligible Applicants |
Public School Districts and Public Charter Schools which have at least 25% of students from low-income families as determined using the criteria specified under section 1113(a)(5) of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) and are implementing Education Law §3012-c. Note: All entities except for public entities exempted by the State Comptroller are required to go through the contract process. Any agency that has not previously received funding with the State Education Department must complete and submit a Payee Information Form with their application.
