APPR Plans

Approved APPR Plans

All approved Teacher and Principal APPR plans are posted by New York State school district name. On April 13, 2015, Chapter 56 of the Laws of 2015 was signed into law, adding a new §3012-d to the Education Law. Education Law §3012-d requires all school districts and boards of cooperative educational services (BOCES) to submit new APPR plans, and gain the Department's approval for such plan, by November 15, 2015 or September 1 of any subsequent year. Districts and BOCES with hardships that impact their ability to meet this deadline for implementing the new APPR plan during the 2015-16 school year are required to submit a Hardship Waiver application, available at portal.nysed.gov, to the Department in order to extend this deadline without risk of losing their eligibility for a State aid increase.

School districts and BOCES are listed alphabetically. Click on a letter to see the approved plans for the school districts and BOCES that begin with that letter. You will find a history of a school district's/BOCES' approved APPR plans under Education Law §3012-c, §3012-d, and any Department-approved Hardship Waivers for the 2015-16 school year. For districts that are subject to enhanced monitoring, periodic summary reports will be posted in the same location as the district's approved APPR plan.

NYSED will continue to post approved plans on this website. Please check back for updates.

Districts that need to make material changes to their APPR plans should contact us by emailing educatoreval@nysed.gov so that we may work through the process together.

NYSED has also prepared resources to guide districts and BOCES in the development of their APPR plans. For more information please visit:
