This website also features a series of fact sheets in printer-friendly format that are available to help school administrators, teachers, and other education leaders address the concerns parents have about the State assessments and Regents exams.

Virtual Learning System (VLS) - An enhanced version of VLS is now available. Users will find a new interface and navigation scheme as well as other features, such as learning standards content for English as a Second Language and Social Studies; hundreds of Marco Polo lesson plans mapped to State learning standards; an enhanced search engine; and links to resources from other educational institutions such as the Office of Higher Education, the Public Broadcasting System, the State Library and the State Archives. We expect to add additional content and links to VLS on a continuous basis. Comments and suggestions may be sent to the Department via the website.
