AGATE (Advocacy for Gifted and Talented Education) - Organization designed to promote the education and welfare of the gifted and talented in New York State through advocacy, dissemination of resources and development of materials.

American Federation of Teachers (AFT) - Offers resources for educators, including publications, education salaries and benefits, and general resources.

American Library Association (ALA) - THE library association with up to date news, events, and activities.

Association for Educational Communications and Technology (AECT) - Hopes to provide leadership in educational communications and technology by linking professionals holding a common interest in the use of educational technology and its application to the learning process.

Council for Exceptional Children - The Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) is the largest international professional organization dedicated to improving educational outcomes for individuals with exceptionalities, students with disabilities, and/or the gifted. CEC advocates for appropriate governmental policies, sets professional standards, provides continual professional development, advocates for newly and historically underserved individuals with exceptionalities, and helps professionals obtain conditions and resources necessary for effective professional practice.

National Association for Gifted Children (NAGC) - An organization of parents, educators, other professionals and community leaders who unite to address the unique needs of children and youth with demonstrated gifts and talents as well as those children who may be able to develop their talent potential with appropriate educational experiences.

National Association for Music Education - The largest organization of arts education professionals in the world.

National Association for Sport & Physical Education - Information, ideas, resources, networks, and support you need to promote and improve physical activity and fitness, and expand your know-how and ability.

National Council for the Social Studies - Devoted solely to social studies education NCSS engages and supports educators in strengthening and advocating social studies.

National Council for Teachers of Mathematics - Their mission is to provide the vision and leadership necessary to ensure a mathematics education of the highest quality for all students.

National Education Association - NEA is America's oldest and largest organization committed to advancing the cause of public education.

National PONSI - Translating noncollegiate learning experiences into college credit.
