  • Actionbioscience.org - provides lessons for high school/undergraduate levels to accompany its peer-reviewed articles examining bioscience issues. Lessons are written by educators and correlated to NSES standards. Articles and lessons focus on issues in biodiversity, environment, genomics, biotechnology, evolution, new frontiers in the sciences, and education.

  • Answers.com - A free all-inclusive one-stop center for teachers, librarians, students and parents for quick explanations, definitions, translations and facts. It contains over 3 million topics, as well as lesson plans and handouts.

  • Education Atlas - A comprehensive guide to education sites on the Web.

  • Education Commission of the States - The core of this Web site is the Education Issues section, which provides a wealth of information on dozens of education issues, from accountability to vouchers. Each "Issue Site" includes an overview of the issue; information about state legislation, programs and activities; links to the best research, reports and articles about the issue; links to other Web sites with good information about each issue; and other resources such as examples of good education practice and databases that can be sorted into tailored views.

  • Education Resource Center - The Education Resource Group is dedicated to helping professional educators, student teachers, parents, mentors and tutors educate students by providing access to education resources.

  • Fulbright Teacher and Administrator Exchange Program - The Fulbright Program is sponsored by the United States Department of State and arranges direct one-to-one classroom exchanges to over thirty countries for teachers at the elementary, secondary, two-year, and four-year college
    levels. Administrators can participate in six-week shadowing experiences in nine different countries.

  • New York State Earlychildhood.org - This website has been developed to support professional development and improve the quality of early childhood and school-age programs. It is designed to provide a one-stop source of information for those exploring careers in early childhood and school-age programs as well as those already working in the field and looking to advance in their careers. It also contains information that supports the efforts of program directors and others to improve the quality of their programs.

  • OLAS Jobs: On-Line Application System for Educators - OLAS is an Internet-based application serving school districts in several regions of New York state. These school districts have committed to using this system as their primary source for filling jobs. Districts can view applicant information, resumes, and cover letters. Candidates are able to apply to specific positions using one application and/or have an option of granting all districts access to their application.
