Dr. John B. King, Jr., Commissioner of Education and President of the University of the State of New York, engaged with student reporters across the state via video conference. The Commissioner spoke for a few minutes and then answered questions from student reporters.
Suggested topics for discussion included college and career readiness, testing, career and technical education, the proposed research paper graduation requirement, teacher evaluations or any other issue that students want to know more about.
The expectation was that every enrolled participant would write or otherwise report on the content of the program to a larger local audience of students.
